Depression is a serious illness, which can take on many forms. More than the occasional feeling of sadness, depression is characterized by a prolonged feeling of sadness, anxiety, helplessness, pessimism, guilt, restlessness, fatigue, insomnia and/or difficulty concentrating, among other things.
