Everyday a family is devastated by the terrible reality of losing a loved one to violent crime As parents, we understand that our children are our future Members of PACD can personally tell you that without our children, life can be empty We must take them under our wing for protection and guidance so that they too do not fall victim to violence We should take an active role in their education by getting involved in the PTA, helping them daily with their homework assignments, and by encouraging them to excel We must get to know them and their friends Most importantly, we must educate ourselves on the art of parenting in order to let our children know they are appreciated and loved
