Phase One is an intensive phase of treatment designed to interrupt the use of drugs and alcohol, and to provide stability to the client. Phase One helps an individual to experience life without drugs and alcohol. During this phase of treatment, clients are introduced to the Twelve Steps, and are assisted in identifying distortions and patterns that have led to ongoing substance misuse and a life of unmanageability. Clients generally attend program between three to four times per week in this phase of treatment.
