Viewpoint Recovery Centre was established in June 2011, said that, Viewpoint Recovery Centre’s staff and directors have been around a lot longer than June 2011 and it’s not the first treatment facility that its staff and directors have been involved in. It all started just over 3 years ago, the first facility opened was Truth Recovery Centre. The idea behind opening up Truth Recovery Centre was that we wanted to be the first 12 step based treatment centre on the East Rand and the first long-term treatment centre (3 months treatment and above). Further to that, Truth Recovery Centre was to be run by recovering addicts. This meant we would have an added advantage when treating the disease of addiction. Truth Recovery Centre became a success almost immediately after opening its doors, so when the opportunity to open a second treatment facility was presented to us, we embraced that opportunity with open arms.
